A New Start

Well, for those of you who periodically check up on my blog and wonder "why did she leave us all hanging for almost 2 years in the midst of an incredible adoption story"?  Here goes...
My husband and I made a much awaited trip to Kenya in August of 2010 for 3 weeks. We spent many days with this handsome little boy that captured our hearts from the moment I looked into his big brown eyes! I cared for him as if he was my own, feeding him, bathing him, new clothes, toys etc...
After many days of being with our new son Benjamin, it was time to meet in Nairobi at the attorney's office, where we would determine when he would be able to go home with us. On that day, everything we had planned for over the past 9 months came to an end. My heart felt as if it had been broken into a thousand little pieces. Please do not get me wrong, I thank God everyday for my 4 beautiful daughters and know that in everything God has the master plan but, my heart knew that Benjamin was my son and I didn't need a legal document in my hand to confirm what my heart felt.

Needless to say, time and God does heal many wounds. We get periodic updates on Benjamin and he is doing really well. We know God has a great plan for his little life and hope that our paths will always be connected. Thank you to everyone who asks about him and was so supportive during that time! I will be jumping back on the "blogging train" and I hope you will still take the time to see what's new!!

Blessings to all!
